Maury Blackman

Maury Blackman is a veteran technology executive, entrepreneur, and investor with more than 25 years of experience building high-growth companies at the intersection of civic technology, artificial intelligence, market intelligence, and digital trust. Throughout his career, he has led transformative platforms that serve governments, global enterprises, and public institutions, earning a reputation for scaling mission-driven companies that operate where technology, policy, and markets converge.

Maury is the Founder and Chairman of Insight Integrity Group, a technology holding company focused on restoring trust in digital markets and public information systems. He is also the Co-Founder and CEO of The Transparency Company, which develops technology to restore integrity to the global online review ecosystem, and serves as CEO of Velosimo, a government technology integration platform that enables agencies to connect disparate systems and deliver modern digital services.

Previously, Maury served as CEO of Premise Data, a global data intelligence platform aggregating on-the-ground economic, social, and geopolitical data from contributors in over 140 countries. His work at Premise deepened the company's engagement with U.S. and allied defense and intelligence agencies, expanding its role as a trusted provider of ground-truth data in complex operating environments.

Before Premise, Maury served as Chairman and CEO of Accela, the nation's leading civic technology platform, for nearly a decade. Under his leadership, Accela became the dominant SaaS platform for government permitting, licensing, code enforcement, and public health services, powering digital government for hundreds of jurisdictions across North America and Australia. His tenure at Accela earned him Ernst & Young's Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016 and recognition as a Public CIO Industry Leader.

Maury is also the Managing Director of Pierpoint Ventures, an early-stage investment firm focused on technology companies at the intersection of civic innovation, data integrity, and enterprise software.

Maury began his career after graduating from the University of Houston and serving as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserves. His military service instilled a discipline and sense of mission that has shaped his approach to leadership throughout his career. Outside of business, he is an accomplished endurance athlete who has completed 11 Ironman triathlons, including the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii — a pursuit he describes as inseparable from his executive philosophy of sustained effort, mental fortitude, and long-range thinking.
